It's hard to believe it was seven years ago, but #London2012 was a big deal for us. My other half loves a big sporting event and so she went all out on getting tickets. We did pretty well. Between us we went to women's soccer, athletics, women's basketball, waterpolo and tennis. London was really buzzing. We took the train to most events and could get free transport to some within London. I am not generally one for waving flags, but I picked up this shirt when we stayed at a camp site in London as we had a couple of events to get to and it saved some traveling. I think it was cheaper than a lot of the merchandise we saw. It was very easy to buy a lot of souvenirs.
I also bought these guitar picks that will not get used, They seem too thin for me anyway.
Here I am in the stadium with the Olymic flame behind me. The things on the back of the seats were lights that were used in the opening and closing ceremonies.
The view was pretty good.
We used our camper van on that trip. We actually ended up leaving it one night as some friends were having an anniversary party in Luton that we could not miss. There were some very flashy campers there from around Europe.
It was a really fun period and we went to some of the Paralympics too. The kids really enjoyed it. We may not get opportunities like this very often, so we took full advantage.
#ShirtOnSunday is a fun theme to base a post around. It can be about anything you can associate a shirt with.
