You know what we never do on steemit? PILE UP RANDOM POSTS! Because everyone wants those huge upvotes. Since the blockchain is so fucking empty, anything less than amazing is completely ignored.
Hell, even amazing posts are often ignored unless the author has a good track record of previously getting decent upvotes!
Hey, I'm looking at the newly created posts tab here on steemit and do you know what I look at when choosing curation targets? NOT it's content!
I look at that author's history. Is he going to get enough upvotes to justify spending my own upvotes on him? Yes? Then bam, upvoted! Because that's what #newsteem is all about - NOT content!
If I upvoted myself then I would at least praise for some quality on my very own posts instead of just tossing around whatever comes up. But since I don't, since I'm now focused on just getting rewards from curation, well fuck the quality level of my own posts!
Do you think that's stupid? It might not be as effective time-wise but to whales like that retard
