This week there's been a lot of rumours about a rare cyclone swell from the north west of Australia. The last time this happened was 5 years ago with cyclone Bianca, which lit up the whole coast and a lot of spots that lay doormant throughout the years suddenly turned in to world class waves.
After driving for an hour I finally came back to Gas beach to find about 50 people sitting on 1 peak across the whole beach. It soon became obvious why.
Normally I shoot in higher quality burst mode, but today I decided to gather video footage and post a few screenshots before uploading the video edit at a later stage.
