These shots were taken several years ago with my old Olympus E500. The Aylmer Wildlife Management Area is one of the stops along the Tundra Swans migration path. This area attracts a staggering number of Tundra Swans and is a very popular attraction.
I have to admit it's pretty exciting watching the swans interacting among themselves and with the local birds such as Great Blue Herons and Canadian Geese. Unfortunately, the only place to get good shots is from inside the viewing "shack" so you have to shoot through windows that don't open. It's a challenge!
If you find yourself planning a trip to South Western Ontario during migration season I highly recommend adding The Aylmer Wildlife Management Area to your itinerary. Be warned: this area backs onto the Ontario Police College so you'd better behave.
LOL!
Until next time friends...
