And now for our daily shots, sending us back to our moments in Siargao. As my wife and I stepped onto the pristine shores of Daku Island in Siargao after riding a small banca with a guide and two men sailing it, we both felt our worries and stress melting away with the gentle lapping of the waves against the fine sands shore. The midday sun beat down upon our skins warming us to the core. We had come to this island paradise seeking a relief from the toxic city and as we breathed in the salty air and listened to the soothing sounds of the ocean, we knew we had made the right decision..well most of it was her idea actually 😁, so kudos to her.
We spent our time getting sea soaked and sun tanned, allowing the warm waters to wash over us. We took dips in the crystal clear waters and also walked along the beach feeling carefree and relaxed. The coconut trees swayed gently with the winds giving a scenic view to our leisurely afternoon. As we lay on the beach listening to the sound of the waves, we felt a deep sense of calmness.
Together, we watched as small bancas glided across the horizon carrying other tourists doing island hoping with their sails flying in the wind. We shared stories, laughed and reminisced about our life together. The world seemed to slow down and for a brief moment all was right with it. No noise pollution, no crowded streets, no deadlines to meet – just us two.😍
