In two weeks, about 500,000 CCC in outgoing delegations will end, and I was planning to restart my #creativecoin Silent Bob initiative one week later. I also have a little under 1000 $HIVE in open orders on the CCC market on hive-engine that I was still growing.
Today made this announcement about major mid-game rule changes for hive-engine. Trades are going to be penalized with a 0.25% fee, and there is a further announcement they will keep tweaking, so more mid-game rule changes to come.
Maybe it's because I'm old-fashioned, but when it comes to financial stuff, I really don't like mid-game game changes, especially not if they are made based on guesses rather than simulative modelling. I haven't made up my mind yet about how to react to hive-engine rules of the game becoming pretty much unpredictable, but I thought a heads-up to the #creativecoin community and market may be in place.
For now I'm doing only one thing:
- I stop powering down 150 HIVE a week in order to grow my CCC orders
And I'm currently taking a few days to make up my mind about
- Should I delete my standing buy orders?
- Should I abandon my Silent Bob curation initiative all together ?
- Should I get rid of my 500,000 CCC stake? Burn it? Spread the love, giving it away in competitions?
- Should I burn all my COINZDENSE and abandon hive-engine as a channel for soliciting coinZdense project support.
Number one has a high probability, number three a very low one. Number two is the hard ball choice for me right now. Number four is for my other big project, the currently unfunded coinZdense project that aims to provide the underpinnings for making HIVE and other utility and DEX chains post-quantum ready.
I get many here will probably think even stopping my power-down is overreacting, but given my history with my project getting nuked by mid-game rule-changes in the past when Steemit Inc was still in charge, I now get triggered a lot by any such changes, especially model-less just tweaking types of rule changes. For me this change and the announcement of more changes for me is a huge red flag warning me my project might get nuked by rule changes in the future the same way my flag-war reporter and my asyncsteem projects got nuked by such mid-game changes in the past.
I'm investing time and funds in this project, and with hive-engine showing signs of the same type of capricious leadership that repeatedly ruined shit for me on STEEM, I really need to take a few days to figure out what that means for my project.
As said, best case, I stop growing my CCC orders, the worst case, I abandon my project and write off my #creativecoin holdings as a loss, burning it or giving it away in competitions. I'm not going to sell my stake either way, so no fears of me crashing the market, I love the #creativecoin community, and won't do anything to harm it like that.
Anyhow, give me a few days to think things over. I will write another post as soon as I've made up my mind.
