It's been raining for over a week and Micah and I have been pretty much stuck inside. I did let him play in the rain some but there were few mornings it was just too cool.
This morning however, it's not raining and although cloudy and humid, it's not bad so we decided to take a walk.
We walked down to the creek, to my amazement it was dry!! We REALLY needed that rain!
Anyways, on our way back into the driveway there was a stick caught in a vine I was going to pull down so wouldn't scratch our vehicles and that's when I spotted them!! It was tangled up in muscadine vines!
Omygoodness! I was so excited lol. I've been looking for them since my son's moved out here last August!
Micah and I love forging for berries and now wild grapes. This brings back such special memories from when I was a little girl.. My granny taking all us grandkids (usually 6-7 of us) walking down her ole country road looking for muscadines. I cherish these memories now as I lost her several years back.
My wishes for Micah, is one day when he's grown and I'm gone. He can think back to these days with Mimi and cherish them as much as I do!
Gone but never forgotten❤️
