Whats up you beautiful bunch
Today we had a local coin show. I didn't have a lot of expendable cash, but I still bought a few things.
First up some copper to toss in the park in memory of .
Next a little chain of 1860's French 20 centimes. It's 8 of them tied together with what seems to be 9 Carat gold. Yes Carat with a C, it's French.
Then one for the collection, a nice example of a 1949 Canadian Dollar. This dollar is from when Canada joined Newfoundland to form the dominion of Canada.
Not a big haul, but I met a buddy there and we went for a pint after. He handed the waitress a 1 ounce gold maple, and a 1939 dollar, she had never seen gold or silver money before. It was neat to see her reaction to holding gold.
Stay classy everyone
