Reorganizing - and look what I found .
I had to do a bit of reorganizing in the old treasure chest this past weekend. In doing so it led me to dig through some of the more odd shaped and less stackable pieces of silver but I own. It brought back some good memories, and a lot of silver that I got into a while back.
I remember a time where the silver gold stackers community had for what felt like four or five different silver artists pouring, stamping and selling silver on the platform. Well I know there are a couple that might still pour occasionally, you're either not in the US, or they don't really sell much.
One of my favorite sellers was Ray brockman selling as toxic bullion. I am pretty sure all the pieces pictured are from toxic bullion, but not everyone was stamped so I might have one confused with someone else from that time. I know for a fact I didn't get all of these directly from toxic bullying, and instead got them in trades from other people over time. Let's take a look at some of the high quality stuff at this group was putting out.
Toxic Bullion - Hand Poured Art - Community Driven!
This is really some great stuff, and all with the common theme of skulls. Not sure why skulls and silver are such a great combination but they really are. All of these pieces are over and outs with the smallest at 1.9 Oz in the largest at 5 oz.
I love all these pieces, and I'm a big fan of the antiques or patina that is added to the pores to give them a lot of contrast and character. I'd be hard-pressed to pick favorite out of these. I think it would come down to the chief poor, and the one with the American flag on it. Both of those are just really nice pieces and they feel really good in the hand. I love all of these pieces and I'm super happy that I pick them up.
I really wish that Ray was still pouring and posting here in the platform as I know I will be buying pieces more frequently. There's something about seeing these new designs and setting aside post earnings to pick up a new piece of silver but I've been missing for a while.
I remember when he would post pics of the new molds and ideas. Usually the orders would start lining up before they were even poured
Look at those lines!!!
One of the highlights of these hand pores is the reverse of the mold will show you the lines of when the silver was poured. The best one by far is the 5 oz piece that appears to be good old number one. The lines on the poor just really pop out especially after being toned a bit or antique. I think half the reason I like the port silver was he in the lines in the imperfections. Well minted and pressed rounds can look really really good I think I start to give a little bored after a while having exact same thing over and over again. Each handful is going to be similar but completely unique has no two will ever be the same.
Are there new artists I'm missing?
I know back in the day the toxic bullion was pouring and posting, pit bullion, several people over in Europe, and the silver pores that somehow got their silver to sparkle blue?
Are there new people pouring and selling silver in the community that I just haven't come across yet? If so could someone please drop me a link below so I can give them a follow and start to give back and divine community silver. If not, I'm surprised that more of these people haven't come back to the community to share their art and generate some sales. I'm hopeful we can find some way to attract them back to the platforming community, even if it's just for my selfish desire for more sweet silver.
Happy to Have these 15.5 oz of silver
Feeling extremely happy to have these 15.5 oz of silver. Given the fact that we just had another massive bank failure, and the third largest bank failure in history within the past two months all of my silver purchases seem a lot smarter right now. I'm not a financial advisor, but I love holding some physical silver in my hand, it's hard to describe but it somehow feels valuable just hoping it. I don't know what it is or why I feel that way, but that's one of the big reasons why I've always bought precious metals.
No one knows what the future holds, but I know that my hands will hold some silver from time to time just to scratch that stackeritus itch.
