There is a local pizza cafe known for being the best pizza in town.
They are moving locations and Super Bowl Sunday was their last day in the old location.
The day before, Saturday. I went to pick up 2 pizzas.
Now those who know about my #silverforfood posts I usually post about 1 coin for the meal/meals
But this time, its 3 silver coins for these 2 pizzas…
Yes, you heard that right… this is not cheap pizza. But I must tell you. The best dough, the best sauce, best cheese, the arugula etc was something else all fresh and made to perfection.
The chef is passionate about his pie. When the uber driver came in to pick up someone’s order, the owner asked the guy if he had a pizza bag. “You need a bag buddy” the chef said as he shoed the uber driver away… its ok, not too long after another driver came with a bag.
They also gave us a jar of hot peppers… not sure because they made me wait long or because they are closing and have to get rid of them. The chef told me it took long because the pie came out not the way he wanted so he did it again.
Not sure if that was true or not be they did just give me the hot peppers and not some other people who came in to pick up their orders.
One thing I liked about the place was almost everyone was very cute and good looking and there was a sense of “controlled chaos” with everyone giving off that hard working family vibes even though they aren’t related by blood.
I am really looking forward to this place moving into their new location, should be in a month. Best part is they are moving even closer, so they will be on the way in most cases. I just need to remember to order way more in advance because they constantly bombarded with orders.
I overheard them speaking and how the kitchen will be twice the size as their previous place.
That is big, if they can handle more orders, there won’t be as much of a wait time and everything should be better for everyone.
I get the vibe that the chef will keep paying everyone their weekly salary for the month so that the OG crew can be in the new store for the grand opening.
