In 2022 the Turkish State Mint minted a non-circulation set of solar system themed, 1 Kuru艧 coins made of 1.55 grams of aluminum each.
Today let's take a look at the only planet in the Solar System found by mathematical predictions rather than by empirical observation, Neptune.
Neptune's discovery is credited to three people, Johann Galle, Urbain Le Verrier, &
John Couch Adams.
It actually started when Alexis Bouvard noticed unexpected changes in the orbit of Uranus, this led him to hypothesise that its orbit was subject to gravitational perturbation by an unknown planet. After Bouvar passed away, the position of Neptune was predicted from his observations, independently(!?!), by John Couch Adams (Oct 21,1845) and Urbain Le Verrier(Nov 10,1845).
Neptune was subsequently observed with a telescope by Johann Galle on September 23,1846 within a degree of the position predicted by Le Verrier! That's crazy-cool!
Neptune, like , is a gas-giant

Neptune is also the coldest planet in our solar system and has the strongest winds, which can blow up to 2100 km/hr!
Neptune was given the name of the Roman god of the sea due to its bluish-ocean like color, so all of Neptune鈥檚 moons have been named after water deities.
See you next time, when I'll be coming to you from Uranus :D
