So Stefan asks me to get his data off his laptop and repurpose it. No worries, happy to do so for $40 why are you getting rid of it? Oh it worked when we got it I’ve had 2 computer guys look at it and it’s just not right.
I copied everything that looked cool onto a thumb drive and thought Yep, this is indeed NOT RIGHT… Looking further, it should be just fine with a new copy of the OS installed and more RAM.
After googling how to get into it I was able to replace the 2 GB of memory with 8 and I’m sending it happily down the road!
eBay says it's worth something. Happy to take Hive : )

Remove Keyboard hp elitebook 8440p
Remove the 3 screws from the bottom with the keyboard icons on them. There are 4 tabs along the top of the keyboard that flip (slid?) down. Give it a little pressure and the keyboard will lift out.
