Hi it's me Rachelle, I lived in the province of Bulacan. I am a beginner on drawing but wanted to learn and able to draw decent drawings of anyone.
After few days, I get back and practice drawing as much as possible. Drawing like this can't be done by an hour. I guess in my situation while making this drawing took me more than 3 hours just to complete all the face features.
I decided to rest after that 'cause I got severe pain on my lower tummy. However I continue to draw the next day and been able to finished it. Today let me share actual photos of my drawing progress.
I used 4 pencils and tried to used charcoal pencil for hair shadows. I'd still don't know how to use these pencils that I have in hand right now. As a newbie it's quite challenging to know which is the right pencil to use in every drawing.
As usual I did the first thing that I was comfortable. I sketch the face using light shaded pencil. I used my 2H pencil for the entire sketch.
I add details for the eye area using darker shaded pencil. I used 8B pencil for the pupil and 6B pencil for iris edges.
After that I used some brushes to help my blending fast. I didn't know that the paper that I used was not ideal for sketching. I have this rough type of sketchbook which I bought over a week ago.
I was careless don't research first which paper would be great for graphite and charcoal pencils. I also notice that I can't achieve flawless finish of my shading because of my rough paper. But still I have to use this sketchbook and think that it has 100 pages, too many pages to use for practice drawing though.
Getting back in my work, I start to add details on eyes, lashes, nose and lips. Follow by hair that obviously look I struggle while doing it. Yeah, hair strands was hard to draw and make a shade like a real hair.
Overall I am quite satisfied on my drawing though it doesn't look exactly like Rosè. As I said before, I am on my journey on achieving the art of drawing like a real pro. Well not that pro but atleast I am hoping that I have a future on arts. Anyways, thanks for reading my story today and keep safe!
