Hello friends!
Well, as the title states, August was a hell of a month. I am just now to the point where I can say something about it since everything has been cleared up.
So during the time my Kickstarter was live I was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer. That was a damn bummer (i'm 31 years old). Luckily the Kickstarter was enough of a distraction to help me get through it, but it was difficult to balance everything. Though the Kickstarter did not get successfully funded it was really amazing to see how many people contributed. I genuinely appreciate everyones help with it!
It feels obnoxious to air the dirty laundry of personal medical issues online, but I didn't really get a chance to thank everyone who helped spread the word of the Kickstarter here on Steemit and boosted the posts. I just wanted to let those who helped know why I was a bit quiet after the Kickstarter. But thank you so much for your help while it was running!
Aside from all of that, the prognosis for this stupid kidney tumor looks REALLY good. It was caught super early (stage 1), and the surgery is an outpatient surgery where they go in with a couple of needles and freeze the bastard out. The likelyhood of it being cured is around 97%, and if the first round doesn't work they just zap it again.
I am taking a week off after the surgery just for the hell of it. And during that time I plan on completing my Dungeon Synth album! The cover has been drawn and inked and will be colored soon. I hope to be back on here more to show you some progress as it moves along. To start it off, here are the pencils and inks for the cover. Enjoy!
