Early this month, I had the chance to participate in the "Lluvia de Votos" (Votes Rain) Dynamic organized every week by the Engránate Team , while I was at the activity I dearly noticed that the project has changed a lot since I knew about it 3 months ago, approximately during the first day of January of the current year.
I discovered then that the forum was super active, the General Chat was moving a lot as well (nothing closer to the calm, silent and lonely even, room that I remembered, with perhaps one or two users that would interact); noticing this change filled with a lot of motivation.
That day, after the activity, that ended past-midnight, I thought how pretty a character holding their logo would be (that from far, I have always looked at is a Smiling Gear).
So, why not to try making them a gift with said idea?.
"If it turns out pretty, maybe I can gift it to them....", I thought.

🎨 PRELIMINARY SKETCH 🎨

When I’m going to draw, I always start by sketching a draft of the whole composition, with all the main elements I want it to have; it’s never clear to me how the final result is going to turn at the end, not all my sketches end in something pretty or harmonious, and so they are disposed of, but some as this one, get the right shapes and are “tuned up” slowly.

At this step, we are going to erase all those "extra lines" that we used in order to fin the "prettiest form", and we are going to keep those that we are going to be redefined with ink. We are going to use an erase carefully, and erase from inside out, removing the excess of "guides".

This is the moment of the truth: Now we need to erase all the guide lines used, and leave only the line art we have done with inks. Lines that should be redefined many times, they came hide many errors or lack of esthetic on what comes to proportions, and those things are only visible when we clean the paper from all the pencil and graphite lines we have used...

I'm not a colorist, I have never been one. All my life, as I draw, I did it with charcoal, pencils and ink, that is to say, everything was Black and White, but with this character, and just if there was the case her adopters wished to use her for something, I thought it would be cute and useful to have her with colors.

When I started on Steemit at the first weeks of February, one of the first projects on Spanish language that I knew about was "Engránate"; a couple of weeks after, it was also the first one with a Discord Server where I could participate on a dynamic which involucrate talking "on live" to rest of participants and moderators (something that I considered amazing, since having chat rooms only just to share your post links and that’s it, seemed a little impersonal to me...).
The gentle welcome and reception I received from everybody filled me with a lot of energy and a lot of expectation, and it also contributed to my staying on this platform, the experience made me want to be more constant.

At the current time, I’m not a very active user on their Discord server, due the little time on hand and the limited Internet due the infamous electricity short-takes that are being applied to the state (that can go up to 12 hours per day).
However, it is always pleasant to find that every time I can look out to see "what’s new", There is indeed something new to find out! And I think that nobody is indifferent to how organized the dynamic from those guys’ project looks.

At the current moment, "Engránate" is on my TOP 5 of Hispanic Steemit Projects that I like the most/sympathize with.
