Hello Steemian friends and welcome LEO!
It appears LEO did come in with a bit of a roar, and maybe some skeptical mumbles too, but I have to say I see a definite niche and need for LEO. There is real need for more divisions, classifications and marketable labeling (Search Engine Optimization – SEO) for Steemit posts.
In True Small Time Operator Style
I probably will not tag very many of my posts with the LEO tag, because the majority of my posts will not qualify to be tagged as such.
But, I still want to participate, support and benefit from LEO. Accordingly, in true Small Time Operator fashion, I staked all of my airdropped LEO coins, and I purchased one LEO Mega Miner token! I am already earning LEO! Woo hoo!
Marketing Is Important
I am far from being a professional investor, and still wet behind the ears in all things related to crypto currency, but I have spent a good chunk of my time learning and understanding Marketing Psychology.
For instance, my favorite local radio station has to provide an age range, lifestyle, and general income information on their audience to convince companies that advertising on that radio station will give them a good return on their investment (ROI).
So the business folks of Steemit need to be able to provide that kind of information to any prospects they are trying to attract as well. And notice that I said my favorite local radio station.
Their marketing department doesn’t try to get UK based businesses to advertise with them. There is no point, since all of us here have south in our mouths, and we are more interested in someone that can fix our AC this time of year.
I love that Steemit throws me in the same waters with great people and writers from all over the world, but an advertiser wants to pay only for advertising that focuses on just the part of the world his business can reach.
The more niched and easily identified that Steemit communities and their member’s posts can become, the more businesses will be attracted to Steemit as a place that will help them reach their target audience.
I’m Hoping To See Crowdsourcing Investments
While I’m here, I’ll also share a hope or dream. I would love to see crowd sourcing investment opportunities develop from the Steem platform, and then see LEO cover all the details and deliver informative posts about it.
Let me clarify what I am hoping for. I am not talking about crowdfunding, like GoFundMe or Kiva. Not that crowdfunding would be bad, but we can’t all be Mother Teresa.
What I am talking about is Micro investing. For example, allow all and any Steemians to invest by purchasing a share (which could be tokenized) and have our investments placed into a real estate investment company that buys properties, resells or rents those properties, and returns a share of the profits to investors, based on the percentage of investment.
Plenty of other businesses could be handled in this same manner. So what do you think?
