About a month ago I did a post about my investment in the cryptocurrency called #smartcash. Since then the price has fallen more than the market and is now trading at about 8 cents, but over that time there has been some good news from the project. It has been listed on a new exchange (BiteBTC) and has another listing coming soon (CoinBene). But the big news is that SmartCard will be coming soon. The card features instant pay and fees at a fraction of a cent, allowing crypto to finally be used to buy a coffee. The cards can be made by anyone and printed to use like a debit card or held on their cellphone. It’s simple for merchants too. They type the local fiat amount into their SmartCash app and then scan the purchaser’s card, who then verifies the amount with a pin number. I will definitely try to convince local coffee shops to accept SmashCash when this goes live.
So, I bought SmartCash because I wanted to run a masternode. It took a while to set up, but with a lot of help from tech support on their Discord channel, I was able to do it. The node doesn’t earn anything for the first couple of weeks, but then it starts paying out every nine days. The current cost of buying 10,000 tokens to set up a node is about $850 and the monthly income from the node is about $39. Here’s a link to the SmartNode calculator:

I use a VPS (virtual private server) to host the node and that costs $4.38 a month, so at the moment the passive income is really good. On top of the masternode rewards there is also the SmartRewards which is paid every month for holding more than 1,000 coins, but I haven’t received that yet as the snapshot is taken on the 25th of each month and is paid a month later.
Thanks for reading :)
