Today I finally got a chance to sit down and tackle updating my SmartNodes, well I started the process last night, with updating the wallet. That was the longest part, but I did use the bootstrap download to quicken the process.

For anyone that is updating the wallet or starting there first node this is really a must. Here is the official link regarding this process. It is also super easy, honestly the hardest part was finding the damn smartcash folder on my hard drive.

From then on I used this link as reference for the rest of the update. This was the one linked to on the smartcash discord. I can not stress enough just how helpful everyone is there, and like I said before if your shy, or impatient you can to a quick search within the smartnode channel and your question is probably already answered like 10 other times. I also took the chance today to set up another smart node, and if anyone is curious, despite the new update the exact process to start a node is exactly the same as before. I have a post about that HERE from a few months ago with some good tips and pointers if your finally going to take the plunge and start node.

The one thing I would suggest and I've heard from others and I did, was only update one node now and your other one (if you have more) in a few more days, if you want your payouts to be staggered. I really liked having that little notification every couple days about a new node payment so it would ruin some of the fun to have than all coming on the same day.

I am quite excited for the future of Smart Cash, this big update and release really included a few cool changes that should really help the project. They have a cool little video here from YouTube that showcasing some of the changes.
