Smart Rewards

With only a week now until the next snapshot it is time for you to grab yourself some SmartCASH and stash it in your SmartREWARDS Wallet. This will be my first full month of hodling some SmartCASH for staking purposes and I am looking forward to seeing the monthly returns roll in.

Every month on the 25th, SmartCash takes a snapshot of wallets that are holding a minimum of 1000 SMART and the following month on the 25th that wallet will be paid a proportion of the SmartRewards that come from the 15% block reward allocation. At least 1000 SMART need to stay in that wallet for the whole month for the SmartRewards to be staked. If you remove any, you will lose the staking rewards for that month.

Long term holders of SmartCash are the key to the project's success. SmartCash uses staking to encourage long-term holding of the coins to encourage growth of the cryptocurrency. As I don't have enough for a full node, I decided to team up with a buddy and join our resources together to get enough for a SmartNODE as well. We are looking forward to the rewards from both staking and the node returns in this exciting venture (yes you get returns for both).
