I spent nearly 10 minutes today trying to get a clear image of Jerry and myself both looking at the camera, the little bugger refuses. It’s like he is saying no you cannot steal my soul LOL. He was very alert on today’s walk as always looking for something to chase or protect me from.
No matter what I try do even holding treats in my hand he refuses to look at me while I am holding my phone pointing his direction. He always thinks I am asking him to search out a threat or something along those lines.
It is as if this is the pose he wants everyone to see, I am on guard. Protecting my owner is my duty and everyone needs to know it. I may look cute but I am a dog on a mission to find something, anything, just don’t be that something because I am no longer so cute.
I will sniff you out, I always have my nose to the ground and my owner catalogs all my sniffs with his camera. We are on the hunt together, I chase and he catalogs for what purpose I do not know but I always try point him in the right direction.
This is what a dog looks like while he is pointing, his ears are perked and his tail up saying I am alerted. He stares in a single direction moving his head around to get a better listen while not breaking eye contact with the direction he wants me to pay attention. All and all a good little walk before work though Jerry did not get to chase anything today.
On my way into work I realized how bad the smoke is today, we are at that point that if you must be outside do not exert yourself and pay attention to how your lungs feel. The smell is apparent in the air, not just the after smell lingering on things.
Some parts of my drive today I could swear the smoke is so thick it was fog, there should be another mountain range in the distance in this picture.
I arrived an hour early to work today, didn’t check my schedule last night and I would rather be safe then sorry so I came in for the earlier shift. Sitting here in my car I start to wonder about air filtration within our building, am I breathing this crap in while inside also? I hope they have some form of pollutant filtering for our cooling room intake as we need to filter out pollen and mold spores currently but do they capture the smoke particles? I am thinking no, my lungs are not happy by the end of the work day same as if I was outside!
