My #BeerSaturday post this week consists of a couple different beers coupled with food.
The first is from Lolo Peak Brewing, as shocking as it is to believe. I had a Huckleberry Saison which is one of the seasonal beers they have right now. I've had it before and found it quite tasty.
What I haven't had before is the food I ate to go with the beer.
This is a Bahn Mi salad. Spicy pork meat added to a salad. Simple enough but it was very good. Might have to try some of their other salads.
The next beer, that I just finished drinking, is called The Pirate's Life. It is a rum barrel aged Belgian. More sour than I would expect from a Belgian but I find it drinkable enough. Gotta be careful though, because at 7.8% ABV it packs a bit of a punch.
We paired it with some tacos. Made them a bit spicy but nowhere near as spicy as when we have some friends over and make our super spicy ones. Didn't get a picture of the prepared tacos as we were too busy eating to take pictures, but here is a picture of the cooked and spiced meat.
