On a recent trip to Hawaii, managed to wake up early and hike up the Lanikai pill boxes to watch the sunrise. This was my favorite picture taken from atop the pillbox. There are two pillboxes that are remnants from world war 2, where machine gun nests with surface to air capability guarded the Eastern shore of Oahu from potential Japanese aerial attacks.
