I like having all smartphone notifications disabled on my watch. The only notifications it gives me are calls, texts, reminders, calendars, alarms etc. It feels like a piece of tech from before social media and notification overload
I can do things like pay for stuff, get calls and texts, the aforementioned reminders and calendar stuff, can pull up navigation, listen to music or audiobooks, podcasts, but without the temptation to use social media or browse aimlessly. It basically does all the stuff you "need" a smartphone for and none of the stuff you unintentionally get sucked into doing on a smartphone
That and I just like wearing a watch because of the way it looks, being able to check the time on my wrist, and there's something about looking at an analogue clock that subtly changes the way I view time throughout the day
