After working with the website on and off during the last two months the site is now fully functional. Having used virtual servers in the past (and before that in the dark ages, even physical), moving to a serverless solution has been a smooth process and the result seems to allow for a trouble-free future.
Originally I wanted to have a fully static site as it would easily allow for a distributed setup. As I went along I stumbled over various "new" services and techniques. The final site ended up being mainly static, but with a serverless backend that allows the site to have a contact form, web content shared across multiple pages and capable of more server like functionality in the future. Final result remains distributed and scalable, making it as I wanted and then some.
The final functionality added was to use the social platforms powered by the steem blockchain. This allows for a modern solution to posting blog updates, videos, images and such content related to development of the future game projects.
The fun is over for this time, now back to the game developing...
