Sometimes I sit back and imagine how our grandparents survived pandemics and deadly diseases, given the fact that they had a substandard medical system and technology. But then, they certainly did; how else would we be in existence? It is like a war, one that may never end. Advancements in the medical system could be likened to advancements in weapons – weapons used to wage war against these deadly diseases. Nevertheless, some of these diseases have proved resistant to even the greatest medical weapons, yet humanity will never give up.
Vaccines are no doubt one of the most complex medical weapons of humanity against deadly diseases, and they have proved really effective over the years.
It is always of great importance to look out for our health, and getting vaccinated is a very good way of doing that. Alongside many of the vaccinations I had as a kid, some of which I do not even know about, I have been vaccinated against hepatitis. And so, I am never against vaccination. As a matter of fact, I do not blame my parents for vaccinating me without my consent. I probably would have died of polio as a kid if they had not, or maybe not. Either way, hundreds to thousands of lives are being saved through vaccination in different places and times around the world.
As for the COVID-19 vaccination, there are so many controversies surrounding the entire COVID-19 problem. For the sake of my sanity, I have chosen not to believe any of the stories. Most especially the ones surrounding the vaccine; yet I am of the opinion that something is not right, and so I have chosen not to take the vaccine. Nevertheless, I am not, and will never be, against vaccination in general. It has proven over the years to be the greatest weapon humans have against deadly diseases, and I would be a fool to intentionally not use such a weapon when necessary.
I am , and I am happy to be here. Once again, I appreciate those who have made this initiative possible in a special way. Love you all.
