Yesterday,27 July 2018, I was called to a home in Germiston Johannesburg South Africa, where they had seen a snake.
On arrival, i found a Rinkhals sun bathing coiled up at the entrance to a hole.
I snuck upand managed to hook it out with my snake stick. It then quickly shot back into it"s hole. I dived to the ground and grabbed it by it"s tail.
It managed to hook onto something inside the hole and i could not pull it out. I pulled back lightly and the snake pulled in. I knew it would soon get tired.
With a spade we dug away the dirt from the top and soon got the snake out and safely into a snake bucket.
This is my first Rinkhals Snake of this new season. As it gets warmer, i expect to be called out often.
