From my earliest memories I had an interest in Snakes. I caught my first Deadly Snake at age 14 in Bulawayo Zimbabwe (1981). A Juvenal Snouted Cobra. We taught ourselves how to catch snakes and would go looking for them in the bush.
In Zimbabwe the Snouted Cobra accounts for more human deaths by snake bite than any other snake found there. It has a powerful neurotoxin venom and is widely distributed and rather common.
