Many snake catchers have wounds to show. This photo is of a game guide in the Kruger National Park who caught and got bitten by a baby Puff Adder. The venom of the puff adder can be likened to "acid". Causing much pain and destroying the flesh. This often results in the loss of a finger or toe. The Puff Adder bite may also be fatal to man, though only about 26% of untreated bites prove to be fatal.
Mambaman first caught a Highly Dangerous snake in 1981 and to date (touch wood) has not been bitten.
