When you get bitten by a rattlesnake don’t roll over and die because that’s the worst thing you can do.
This is not the time to take an inventory or for counting your toes either, in fact if I may be so bold as to say; this is the time to get help, and get it quick and don’t dawdle on the way sniffing the flowers, and try not to get too excited as this quickens the blood and sends the venom on its way faster – stay calm, slow down but go fast.
A helicopter straight to the hospital would be best but if there are no helicopters around for you then wrap a bandage above the bite but not too tight and suck the wound if that is possible but don’t cut, and proceed to where there is help as best you can.
If you find yourself expired and gone to heaven or the other place, then don’t worry, this is not the end, as according to Buddhist philosophy you will come back, most probably as a snake, and you can always work your way upwards from there. Good luck and I hope you make it.
