What Was The Most Difficult Part In Linking Your Account With SNAX And How Could This Process Be Improved?

I actually linked Steem to my SNAX account twice because I made a serious mistake in my first try and didn't save my 12 phrase password. Only in my 2nd try did I succeed in linking my Steem account to Snax.

This is a good question for Day 2 so that we can share more our experiences so that newcomers coming in will not need to repeat the same mistake.

This is what I did in linking up Steem to Snax:

1. I clicked on Sign In from the Snax Website.

This window popped up to tell me to install the wallet.

I didn't expect to see this pop-up window because it led me away from the Snax Website.

Being not a tech-savvy person, I was not too clear what I was doing because I was expecting to sign up right away with a username to Snax.

2. Chrome Web Store

I followed the instruction and installed the Wallet extension for Chrome.

That was very quick.

3. Clicking on the Snax Wallet in the Chrome Extension

When I clicked on the Wallet in the extension, the following window popped up.

I didn't know what this meant. This sort of threw me off, so I kept on clicking onto the Wallet in the Chrome Extension to see how to sign up.

4. Create my wallet

After a few clicks here and there, I got another pop-up window asking me to create my wallet.

5. It tells me to create a password.

So I followed the instruction and created my password.

6. The Secret Phrase Window popped up

A pop-up window appears to give you the 12 word secret phrase password.

I knew this was important.

So I tried to "find a file in my computer" so that I could copy and paste this secret phrase.

This is the mistake I made in the first trial: I went away from the screen to look for my file in my computer. And by the time I got my file ready, the pop-up window with the 12 secret phrase was gone.

I didn't get that secret phrase password and continued on with the sign-up!

(And then another window popped up to tell me to create an account name. So I continued on without the 12 secret phrase password)

So do not do what I did - Make sure you get that 12 phrase password saved before continuing.

When you see these secret phrases, copy the phrase right away. You need this to go into your wallet. So remember to first copy the 12 phrases first before you leave your screen.

I would say this step #6 is the most difficult part for me.

In my second try, I went through this process like a breeze and got my Steem account linked to Snax quickly.

My Suggestion for Snax Developer: It would be good if there is a step by step tutorial written out for people like me who are not tech savvy. In that way, we won't need to trouble the support team so much to help us in the authentication process.
