Hive account@anomadsoul last month here, 29 of us were selected to join the camp, and we are to work together with our teammates in our respective projects.

My previous project in the final quest which was held in the month of June, 'Project That Promotes Steem' was not selected, so I needed to choose one of the 3 selected projects to be part of.

The 3 projects which were chosen for Sndbox Summer Camp are:

I have chosen Steem-Times: The Newspaper

When I joined this project, it is entirely new to me. I had to get familiarised with the current teammates as well as knowing the project as whole. In a nutshell, Hive account@steem-times is a newspaper for the steem blockchain.

We are now under the mentoring of Hive account@sndbox's mentors, namely Hive account@voronoi, Hive account@hansikhouse, Hive account@anomadsoul and Hive account@guyfawkes4-20. There are still many for us to learn and develop and we, as a team, truly are thankful of our mentors who are guiding us, coaching us and advising us in many ways. Please bear with us as we develop Hive account@steem-times newspaper and at the same time learning to do it better.

Our Development So Far

Our chief editor Hive account@gabriellecd had created WordPress account for Hive account@steem-times so that we can reach out not only within the sphere of this platform, but to spread out the news to those who use WordPress. Our WordPress account, as of now, was created via Hive account@vornix, hence our account is https://steem-times.vornix.blog. We are grateful for SteemPress plugin (Hive account@steempress) which enable our newspaper's news, articles or column be published simultaneously at WordPress and Steemit at the same time.

Currently, our first edition has been published; to get the ball rolling, we have written some news, articles and column, in the means we can. You can check it out, any feedback is welcomed as we seek to further improve our newspaper.

We will be setting our discord soon, meanwhile we are focusing on the newspaper publication first.

We Are Recruiting

Due to vastness of Steem ecosystem and the advanced technology of STEEM blockchain, it is impossible of us (6 of us in the team) to cover every news. There are varieties of news regarding Steem; its blockchain and hard fork, witnesses, Steem-based projects and communities, other Dapps, Steem crypto news or other steem entertainment news, so on and so forth.

If you are always on the look out for STEEM's news, and you love reporting news and writing it down, you are truly suitable to be part of the team.

If you have any news relating to steem that you are interested to cover through steem newspaper Hive account@steem-times, you can write down the whole news (with markdown or HTML included) and submit your entire write-up using our 'Submission Form' (click here to view).

Type your email address and your steem username.

Choose which category of news you want to write about. After you have finished writing (with markdown/HTML or pictures if needed), you copy and paste your entire write-up at the "Article/Column/News" section.

Our team will review your submission and any successful publication of your write-up will be paid a percentage (we have yet to decide as this is our early stage of development) of the total SBD payout.
