I would tell ye about the fairy. But!, my fairy would prefer to tell their own story.

I suppose the best place to begin this story would be at the end. That might save you some time. That wold only take a paragraph though. I will endeavour to extend the torture of reading for at least 4 paragraphs.

'twas a stroke of luck when I was born. Grandpa literally had a stroke. The Luck, good or bad. Well the fairy community is still divided about that 172 years later. 172 4 months and 3 days ago I was born. My pappy had just come back from an adventure and had caught a bug. His speech was impaired and when asked to name he said fluff. Because I had a fluffy ball of hair. However Fluff is not what the nurse heard and so I got a different name.

Oh. The division, I bet you are wondering about that. The division about me was am I a fairy or something else. You see, ever since the first fairy. All fairy's have been born when the sun shines on the moon. No fairy has ever been born when only the dark side of the moon was visible.

Even then fairy's who were born under a crescent moon rarely survived. The strongest fairy's have always been born at twilight of a full moon. A dark moon, well no fairy had ever been born at that time before.

I was an impossible back then and to some, I still am today in some minds.

Born in the shadows of night. I was taught to hide my gift from other fairy's. It didn't reveal itself until my third birthday. That itself is a story on it's own.
Many times when I was young. Mother would have to wake me from sleeping. To prevent me from vanishing. So it appears to those around me when I do. The truth is somewhat different. I don't vanish at all. I simple travel to where I get wished to.

The first two times search parties were made to try find me. Both failed obviously. When I returned. Mother would make excuses to the village of where I had been. After that. If I vanished, they would wait for my return.

I was never gone for more than a fairy day. That would be a bit more than 4 days of your human time. Times goes slower for us cause we are always flying around everywhere verily fast.

For a long time about 82 years 7 month and three days. 2.15 on the Tuesday. It hit me like a ton of bricks. I was after flying into a wall. Literally. The wall had stopped my Journey. You cannot hear anything when moving so fast as when I appear to vanish. That was when I heard it.

I was dazed a bit. But I heard clearly what was said. Things did not make sense right away. It was only with discussions by the fireside with mother that we learned what was really going on.

As it turns out. If my name is called enough times by the same person. And it is said with emotion. I am somehow compelled to help with your plight.

I hear you now thinking. Well that sounds cool. Trust me it is not. All I get to do is go visit sour faced men. Let me explain.

When I was born. Pappy wanted to call me Fluff. Fairy Fluff. But his infection made it sound like Nuff and that is what the nurse wrote down. Nuff Fairy Nuff.

You women out there need to stop fighting with your man. You know you are right already. And when you point out all the flaws in his plan and why it won't work, All they keep say is okay, Fairy Nuff, that makes sense, Fairy Nuff you got me there, Fairy Nuff Fairy Nuff Fairy Nuff Fairy Nuff.

I thought being a fairy would be about making children smile. Not listening to sour faced men that can win an argument with their wife.
