Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to share some photos I took months ago but somehow forgot to do anything with! Lol
Forgotten Monochrome Monday
With the recent adventures that we've been taking, I haven't been able to keep up with taking all of the pictures off my phone and uploading them over to the computer. I have been doing a poor job of that!
Sorry to those of you who came here expecting to see something spring or summer related LOL nope! I'm going to terrorize you with some snow photos :D
What I can do though when I'm looking for some "new" material to turn into monochrome and push out on Monday's is look back at my photos that I exported and see if there is anything out there that I haven't posted and could take a crack at! These pictures are such pictures!
We had a pretty mild winter for sure, considering how some winters in years past we got decimated by lots of snow. We got a few storms which was good and it produced a decent snowfall but for the most part, the snowfall wasn't wild but it was indeed pleasant.
The little man and I went out for a little jaunt around in the snow to see how it was and it was a nice one. We got some decent shots like this, got out and had some exercise which is important to do when it's the winter time. This was a point in time where we didn't think of the indoor rock climbing hobby we have now as something we would be doing. With how often we go now even though the weather is decent, I can imagine that we would go quite a lot more in the winter lol.
With the voyages out though, it gave us a pretty good perspective and look at the environment! One of the things that's crazy is most of those crazy twigs and branches flying around back there, that's from the damn vines! The vines are these crazy invasive ones from Asia somewhere, can't remember where I saw they were from but they love to reach up from the ground and attach themselves to the trees. We had a couple actually fall this winter because they were so top-heavy with the darn vines suffocating them and adding crazy amounts of weight. Pricks!
Aside from that though, it was a nice time to be out for sure! I was able to capture some cool photos, some that I will definitely be using for future posts like this fella here! I love it in black and white for sure but I didn't realize that I got a photo with some live snowfall in it. That's pretty cool lol.
The beauty of the environment when it snows really helps me appreciate all of the different kinds of things that go on in our lives! We typically "dislike" the cold weather but it can produce wonders of nature such as this, which is remarkable. I've been trying to make a concerted effort to be more present instead of complaining!
