Liquid soap.... it can be so so good. This is my 100% Coconut oil Liquid soap base, that I make to make a few other products, namely my foaming sugar scrub. This is phase 1 of the cook!!
This is stage 2, when everything has combined, and is starting to make soap. At this stage, it will take several hours to come to full cook, and be able to be diluted into liquid soap.
This is the 3rd phase, prior to dilution. It usually takes anywhere from 4-9 hours to get to the final cook point. This is the time when you want to watch the paste carefully, as it can burn, and is extremely volatile. It hasn't completed the reaction yet, so the lye and the oils are still very separate. If you touch this paste, it can burn you with both heat and chemical reaction from the lye solution.
This is the paste going to dilute, for several days. This is the final step, and the most crucial. You have to figure out how dilute you want the paste to be, but with 100% coconut oil, the liquid soap will never be thick. But man can it clean like nobody's business. :)
