Each week the SoCal Spotlight highlights five of the awesome posts from #socalsteemit! So, lets dive on in and see what kind of cool stuff the SoCal Steemians have been posting about this week!
Up first this week we have a really cool post by Hive account@mattlovell who tells us about attending his first Amateur Radio Field day in both Big Bear, Ca and Crestline, Ca. He tells us about the different radio operations, the clubs that attended, the 'informal' contest, and his plans for next years Field day!
The second post this week is by Hive account@derekrichardson who tells us all about his backpacking trip with Hive account@csusbgeochem1 in the Dome Land Wilderness. The combo of lush meadows and granite domes and peaks makes for quite the scenic adventure!
Up next we have a post by Hive account@mikesthoughts who tells us about what he's been up to the last week or so. Besides doing a photo shoot so he could make some cash he's been drawing like crazy! All kinds of really cool sketches from dragons and bats to kings and astronauts!
In our fourth featured post this week Hive account@artedellavita takes us out to the latin jazz jam session at Border X brewery in Barrio Logan. After enjoying the music, tacos, and beers there, they finish off the night with some cocktails at The Gentle Penguin in Chula Vista!
Our last post for this week is a really excellent, deep philosophical post by Hive account@creationofcare, who asks us to open our minds and think a little differently about the world. She then heads out into the mountains and shows us what she means as she does a strenuous yet highly rewarding hike where we get to see lots of great nature photos and mountain vistas!
