Hello, my name is Matheus Armeni de Paula Machado and i'm a brazillian soccer fan (aren't we all?).
I've first been introduced to this platform by Mr. Suppoman while following his view on the cryptocurrency world (if you haven't yet checked his youtube channel and by any means share the interest in cryptocurrency as i do, i'd strongly advise you to look him up).
After hearing about this new platform that allows people to share their vision on many subjects i decided to give it a go.
Given the fact that soccer is my passion i can't think of any better topic to approach in my first post. It's just an attempt to see if i can actually find someone who shares my opinion or perhaps can show me a counterpoint regarding the 2018 World Cup.
The year is 2014. The match represented the chance to be in another World Cup final in Brazilian soil. The opponent? Germany. By the time the clock hit the 45 minute mark my dear Brazil was already absolutely dazzled by the Germans, with the score of 0x5. We stood no chance against what can only be classified as one of the best teams to ever exhibit themselves in a World Cup.
this image haunts me 'till this very day:
Needless to say, Germany filled the spot in the finals after a monumental 1x7 semifinal and gladly defeated Argentina in the finals, preventing an even bigger humiliation to the Brazilian people.
More then 3 years after the biggest defeat the Brazilian team had ever suffered, the situation has changed. Brazil was the first team to qualify for 2018 World Cup (aside from Russia, the host country) and the perspective of a World Cup title led by Neymar is terrific. The Brazilian defense squad is tremendous and Brazil's Coach Tite is highly praised by the brazilian and international midia.
The olympic gold medal - the only missing trophy to Brazil - was conquered.
It all seems to be conspiring in favor of the Brazilian team, even the disqualification of two of the strongest teams in the world - Netherlands and Italy.
Its not possible to predict the future but one can only assume the odds are in favor of the Brazilian squad, just as much as they are in favor of Germany and France, perhaps Argentina, England and Spain.
Could we expect the good old Brazilian Style to take of the World for the sixth time? All i can do is hope that this image summarize the return of the greatest World Cup winner of all time!
Hope this post can awake the interest in someone's mind, thank you for reading!
