"Sola doesn’t use the concept of following. It spreads information like a viral disease to the most interested users, applying AI algorithms combined with users reactions. Quality content can easily reach the whole Sola user base. Users post news, stories and entertainment cards, Sola takes care of the rest. "
This is what Sola themselves are writing on their site. And it really works that way. Right now its a new and young media where its a bit chaos from spammers and scam users, but this will be better as the updates come and more quality post is made.
I made a post with photos of The Genetically Modified Little Mermaid in Copenhagen. It has gone viral in Sola. I thought I would give Steemit a try and have heard that it gives you some value also if you don't have followers. But so far it's not in any level of what Sola has given the content I have posted.
We think of Instagram, Facebook and probably Snapchat as the leading social media for sharing content and for social media marketing. I think we need to look at other media like Sola because it is not based on followers or likes from a "fanbase". It promotes the best content, simply because what is being promoted /liked and shown to everyone from the start is real and good content. Its interesting for everyone. Further this has great marketing potential because it has a huge amount of content with everything from cats, food, travel to marketing.

I think Sola is coming for everyone. The concept of sharing content without a "fanbase" is what I would call a real social media.
