Schools in Burgdorf, Switzerland are getting rid of urinals because they are not “gender-neutral”. Urinals are obviously "unsafe" for some students. Isn’t it just a bit ridiculous? I am sure urinals are a problem for one gender more than another.
There’s a level of practicality to urinals. They help keep a bathroom clean, they make it efficient and they are flat-out helpful for a busy bathroom. However, are we really outraged because they are “too masculine”? Seriously? No one cares what actually works for men anymore.
This is honestly quite the trip. I understand we want to be inclusive but this isn’t really about inclusion. It’s the removal of the urinal in schools because it doesn’t fit into this idea of a “gender-neutral world”. They want to put us into one bathroom and act like it works and disregard the fact that men and women restrooms differ entirely.
And this isn’t limited to bathrooms as well, this is trending. Anytime something is even remotely masculine, it becomes a problem, unsafe or outdated. What is next? Are we gonna stop having men?
