Renewable energy has become more 'adorable' thanks to the Panda Power Plant. A new solar farm in China's Shanxi Province will have the capacity to produce 100 megawatts when it is completed. The initiative was sponsored by Panda Green Energy in partnership with the United Nations Development Program and is part of the China Youth Education Program on Sustainable Energy.
Panda Green Energy Group Limited is a leading global eco-development solutions provider and headquartered in Hong Kong. The Company is listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, which is now a constituent of the Hang Seng Composite Index Series, the Hang Seng Global Composite Index and the MSCI China Small Cap Index.
The Company's new energy projects are located throughout the country and some overseas regions, including Inner Mongolia, Qinghai, Ningxia, Shanxi, Hubei, Xinjiang, Gansu, Yunnan, Shandong, Jiangsu, Hebei, Guangdong and other six regions in the UK.
An activity center at the solar farm will educate students around the area on solar energy and its benefits. Construction started in November 2016 and the project progressed rapidly. The first phase is complete: a panda bear that can generate 50 megawats being connected to the network.
To create this form, Panda Green Energy used monocrystalline silicon solar cells for dark areas and thin photovoltaic cells for white and gray areas. Over 25 years, the power plant could supply 3.2 billion KWh, which will help cut 2.74 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
This first Panda Power Plant is just the beginning. Panda Green Energy revealed that it intends to build more solar farms over the next 5 years as part of their Panda 100 program.
This is an incredible and impressive project that I will love to see all over the world.
