The Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed his newly installed solar roof house! Its goal is to make solar roof that look better than a normal roof, generates electricity that lasts longer, and less installation cost than the normal roof.

I think this looks better than the old solar panel design.

“Solar Roof is the most durable roof available, and the glass itself will come with a warranty for the lifetime of your house, or infinity, whichever comes first,” -Tesla said in a May blog post.

This solar roof tiles are protected by toughened or tempered glass. They claimed that the glass is tough as steel. And three times tougher than our regular roof.

Solar roof is offered about $21.85 per square foot. Tesla believes that it will pay for itself in the long run.
