Thanks man, hah yeah well that is exactly what I did before I rewired my home for solar.

I have had at least 3 solar setups before I went big. First was a single battery single panel setup to power a water pump for watering outside. Then I did a 3 battery 3 panel to power some LED lights outside. Then I did another 3 panel/3battery to power my workshop until the big solar array was done.

So yeah start small and just have fun charging your phones or powering a fan or light or something.
