The month of February was very icy, we kept the panels clear of ice and snow. But did not remove the ice from the connectors. And when it all started thawing I had an issue with Array-C. Since the connectors were tied to the frame the ice bridged the connection and caused the inverter to fault. So I lost a few days of solar due to having the panels shut down on Array-C. Now that has been resolved by tying the wires to the wooden part of the frame instead the metal supports we are good to go again.
Here is a post all about the event:
I have also been increasing the C-rate of the battery banks. Pulling close to 6000w right now when the clouds block out the sun, was at 4000w so this is a nice increase. I do not want to go too high on the c-rate as it will shorten the life of the batteries. But I would like to have enough battery so I never really need to worry about pulling too much power and restarting the array. So I may raise it another 2000w to make sure my miners have more than enough battery if the solar panels are lacking during partly cloudy days. Even at 10,000w I am still at less than 0.50C so its nice having all these batteries running in parallel. I would not want to go over 1C so we are in a good place. I would need to upgrade my battery wires if I wanted to pull that much anyways. Right now with my 2AWG wires I should keep it under 10,000w
