There's two structural reasons why #INVESTING is so hard:

You won't catch or time the bottom (within 15%).

You won't hold through the bull cycle w/o having deep conviction.



Step 1 seems simple enough, you just won't fully size the bottom. Whether luck or skill, it is very difficult to do.



But let's say by some stroke of luck you get your max position at the bottom... the harder of the two is step 2!
