Damn, if I’m understanding you right, you actually have it worse than I do. I’ve only had two people downvote anything I post, no matter what it is. They’ve been on you way heavier, so I get why you’re calling it sketchy.
I’m just trying to understand the logic here. Do they really think this makes Hive or Ecency better? Silently downvoting people without context, without feedback, without saying a word doesn’t improve anything. It just kills momentum.
I’m still learning this platform as I go. I don’t claim to know everything. But it’s hard to learn or grow when the only interaction you get is subtraction.
Like you said, they think they’re shaping something important by moving like this. But that kind of behavior doesn’t build history. At best, it makes them a footnote. At worst, they won’t even be remembered.
That’s the difference between building a platform and just interfering with it.
