This is probably the obvious choice, but it seems like a fitting end to the evening, no matter what you're doing. It was often played as the last song of the night at bars, parties, etc. It has some personal memories for me because we used to play it once we closed the doors for the night when I worked fast food in college. It was a kind of ritual to begin the process of closing the store.
I've since read that the song was written more from the perspective of new beginnings, but it seems to fit in pretty perfectly for the end of things too. I think the line "Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end" sums up this interrelationship pretty perfectly. Yeah.
