"Obsolete" (released in 1971) is the name of a collaborative album edited by Dashiell Hedayat and Gong. Dashiell Hedayat is one of the pseudonyms used by Daniel Théron (1947-2013). Théron was a heroic and eccentric figure, who stood out for being a great French poet and countercultural activist, who together with the Anglo-French space rock band Gong recorded this crazy, but interesting album ... "Obsolete", is a work that It contains sound ingredients taken from psychedelia, space rock and beat poetry ... the album can be perfectly included, within the Gong discography of the first albums, Camembert électrique and Continental circus ... =)
