Qtum, a block-based project targeting decentralized applications, announced on February 2 on Twitter that the "first space block" created by Qtum was launched on a Chinese satellite.
However, on Friday, on the day of launch, the countdown was replaced by a reference to the press release on the Chinese National Space Administration's Web site on the successful take-off of the Zhangheng-1 satellite. Users of Reddit for Qtum have expressed their confusion about the disappearance of the counter on the Website by asking for more information about the launch. The Qtum channel's telegram has posted a broadcast on YouTube.
Decentralized Qtum applications are different from Ethernet because the platform uses the Blocked Output Transaction Output (UTXO), allowing light intelligent contract interactions with mobile and IoT programs.
Qtum is a partner with Space chain, a space exploration initiative aimed at building an open-source satellite network. Data storage in space would eliminate potential problems with government regulation. Space chain also shared the Twitter video on launch today, writing that the rocket is a carrier of the "SpaceChain companion and working with the Qtum knot".
