The Atmospheric Moons of Gas Giants
These are the places least explored. Over the last five years, we've been working, planning, and developing something incredible, something that can marked down as a real achievement for generations to come. A mission to explore an atmospheric moon as a possible location for colonization.
...at least, that's what I did in Kerbal Space Program this weekend.
I know, super clickbaity title, but I couldn't really pass it up.
Five Years in the Making
I've been playing Kerbal Space Program off and on for the last five years. During this time I've done a lot of things, but there's one that I've never really succeeded at, which is exploring the gas-giant planet Jool and its many moons, one of them with a supposedly breathable atmosphere.
I spent a good chunk of time this weekend re-installing mods, tinkering, and eventually settled on a ship and mission design that I could really sink my teeth into. I would send a fusion-powered tricopter to the moon of Jool and do science and stuff on it! F.I.T. (The Fusion-powered Interplanetary Tricopter) sat atop its home-base B.I.T. (The Basic Intelligence and Telemetry station), and along with a survey satellite and a transfer stage, I pulled off something I'd never done before! A few of the juiciest images are below, with a link to the full IMGUR album (with accompanying story details for each image) after that.
Thanks for stopping by!

It would be really nice if we could just embed albums...but hey, it's better than nothing! Do you play Kerbal? If so let me know in the comments!
