Jupiter from 703,000 kilometers away
Juno finished its first and closest of thirty six fly-by's around gas giant Jupiter this past Saturday.
Juno passed a mere 4,200 kilometers above Jupiter's cloud tops so I think its safe to say we will be getting some very impressive images from Juno cam in the near future. Scientists say they have already gotten some interesting data back from Juno's science instruments which have all been online for the first time since launch five years ago. I don't know about you guys but I cant wait to see those images and find out what that data is! Sadly though it will take them some time to compile it all and release it to the public. Stay in the loop by following Juno on twitter.
