i mostly draw things first, i think up a function or some object in 2D then try to imagine it in 3D or lathe it. the wing of a plane in 360 degree lathe would actually work perfectly i think this is ufo 's secret :) a single wing in 360 degrees with a source in the center. doubling the power using up and down orientation as well in full symmetry :)
